Lebanon's state power headquarters, Electricity du Liban building, decimated in blast, Beirut, Lebanon
Beirut, Lebanon, 17 August 2020. The bloody handprint of a blast victim on a wall of an office inside the Electricite du Liban building, as a team of cleaners works to clear debris. Close to the center of the blast zone, Lebanon's state power provider's headquarters was decimated by the 4 August blast at the Port of Beirut. Just twenty five of a potential 600 people were in the building at the time, due to a staff member testing positive for COVID19 a day prior, necessitating a work from home program while testing was carried out. All twenty five present were either killed or injured.
