Amal Bittar, a member of the Sidon Dive Academy, watches aircraft being winched into the sea off the coast of Saida, Lebanon as part of a conservation project to create an artificial reef. She's waiting to join this helicopter in the water, to remove the winch cables and help ensure it is properly positioned on the ocean floor. The sea bed here is barren, so the idea is to provide fish and invertebrates with permanent structures to give them a place to breed and shelter in order to increase fish and marine life stocks for fishing and tourism.
