Amidst growing sectarian tensions in protest ridden Lebanon, mothers from the shia muslim neighburhood of Khandaq in Beirut called for "a gathering of love in protest of the attempt to divide and create fear between the children of one people". They were joined by women from the Christian neighbourhood of Ashrafieh and marched in unity, carrying roses, waving the Lebanese flag and singing the national anthem. Beirut, 30 November 2019
