Lebanese revolt, Hamra, Beirut, 14 Jan 2020
Lebanese security forces come under fire from protesters throwing stones as they try to restrain an irate colleague in Hamra, Beirut, on day 90 of ongoing anti-government protests in Lebanon. Protesters took to the streets to demand that a new government be formed within the next 48 hours, following two weeks of extensive state electricity issues with much of the country suffering 18 hours or more of state power cuts per day. Protesters targeted banks, which have limited withdrawals, and lit fires blocking roads across the country.
